Disney’s Moana 2 continues to break records even after its digital release. The animated blockbuster has now outperformed Finding Dory and Despicable Me 3 at the global box office, securing its place among the top 50 highest-grossing films of all time. The film’s impressive performance in its 10th weekend across international markets has propelled it past these major milestones.

Finding Dory, a Pixar sequel to Finding Nemo, was a major hit upon release. It earned $486.29 million in the U.S. and amassed a total of $1.029 billion worldwide. However, Moana 2 has now surpassed it, pushing Finding Dory down the rankings.
Another significant feat for Moana 2 is overtaking Despicable Me 3, which previously held the #49 spot among the highest-grossing films of all time. Released in 2017 as part of the Despicable Me franchise, the Universal and Illumination production grossed $264.62 million in the U.S. and an impressive $1.034 billion globally. With its latest earnings, the 2024 Disney sequel has now moved ahead of it.
