Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom Sets Record with North American Pre-Release Business
Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming action drama, Kingdom, is creating a massive buzz following its power-packed teaser launch. The teaser, which showcased Vijay in a never-seen-before avatar, has set high expectations for an intense cinematic experience this summer.
The overwhelming response to the teaser has significantly boosted Kingdom‘s pre-release business. As per the latest reports, the North American breakeven mark for the film stands at $2.1 million—marking the highest-ever pre-release deal in Vijay’s career. Despite his recent films underperforming in the region, Kingdom has managed to secure strong business, proving the actor’s massive fan base overseas. A positive word of mouth from the May 29th premieres could push the film towards blockbuster status.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom stars Bhagyashri Borse in a key role. The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music.
